What exactly is Vaping? Vaping is the procedure for inhaling the vaporized aerosol (taste) from the cigarette or other similar device, most often known as a Vaporizer. The Vaporizer industry has very little regulation. Unfortunately, the dangers of vaporing cigarettes may also be being discovered. Recent reports in the news have suggested that second hand vapors may be in the same way harmful because the smoke they produce. While a lot more recent reports suggest that vapors produced from electric cigarettes contain far lower degrees of toxins than those from smoking cigars or pipes, the risks of vaporizing cigarettes are a complicated subject.
The primary problem with vaporizing cigarettes is that there is no way to know what level of toxic chemicals are increasingly being emitted by the devices themselves. There are no government regulations to protect consumers. No independent testing of the composition of vaporizers has ever been done. The general conclusion is that vaporizing tobacco results in a vast array of potentially dangerous chemicals. These include carcinogens, pesticides, and thousands of other chemical toxins.
It’s estimated a smoker who smokes typically two packs of cigarettes each day has inhaled about twice as many toxic chemicals as a person who only uses e cigarettes because of their smoking source. The quantity of chemicals that are released into the air while you vaporize is staggering. Most users are unaware of the danger of favoring since it doesn’t affect their the respiratory system. In July of 2021, a report published in the Annals of Internal Medicine reported that there is a significant upsurge in the risks of smoking among former smokers after they began using vapour technology to quit smoking. This study showed that there have been a significant increase in the ratio of individuals who had cigarettes and the ones who had e-juices. As the vapour products were not shown to significantly increase the chances of having a cigarette, these were shown to increase the odds significantly. This study is reason enough to stop smoking altogether.
Another study published in the journal of Public Health showed that there is a significantly increased risk of stroke for long term vapor users. This comes as a shock to many people because there are no known risks of lung disease connected with vapour products. It had been also found that long-term smokers who had used e-liquids had significantly increased risks of most sorts of cancers. It appears as if the dangers of vaping are simply waiting to be uncovered.
E-liquid ingredients seem to contain a selection of chemicals that are either toxic to your skin. The vapours produced when capturing these products can cause irritation to the the respiratory system. If you use a device while you are smoking and you get throat irritation from the nicotine in the air, it is a sign you could be putting yourself at risk of developing lung disease. Lots of people believe that if you are using the devices long enough you won’t ever need to be worried about this or think about the risks of lung disease. Which may be true if all of your life has been spent vaping, but for anyone that is thinking about quitting cigarettes it would be a good idea to get yourself a breather and look into the dangers of vapour technology just a little further.
